Finom is a European tech startup headquartered in Amsterdam that provides an all-in-one financial B2B platform for entrepreneurs, integrating banking, accounting, financial management, invoicing, and AI-enabled accounting. The company operates across key EU markets and through regulated entities in Europe.

• Build financial projections for banking licence and payment institution / EMI applications, including P&L, balance sheet, capital, and liquidity;
• Own funds and regulatory capital planning, including requirements, headroom, and behaviour under growth and stress;
• Model safeguarding and payment buffers across regulated entities;
• Support legal, compliance, and regulatory teams throughout application and Q&A cycles;
• Defend assumptions and rework projections against regulatory deadlines;
• Reconcile licence and capital models with the company financial model and actuals;
• Build business cases and investment cases for new markets, products, and initiatives;
• Prepare scenario and sensitivity analyses for the CEO, CFO, and Supervisory Board;
• Analyze profitability and unit economics at product, segment, and market level;
• Prepare board and investor materials, including the underlying numbers and rationale;
• Support fundraising through model preparation, diligence responses, and investor questions;
• Support M&A work streams through valuation, structuring analysis, and diligence;
• Partner with selected functions on planning, cost, and investment decisions;
• Conduct ad-hoc analysis.

• 4+ Years of experience in corporate finance, strategic finance, financial modelling, transaction services, or the finance function of a bank or fintech;
• Experience building or materially maintaining sophisticated financial models for a bank, fintech, or financial institution;
• Exposure to regulatory financial models, including licence applications, capital planning, ICAAP/ILAAP, or regulatory reporting;
• Exceptional Excel / Google Sheets modelling skills, including structure, transparency, and error-proofing;
• Excellent command of the three financial statements and their interactions;
• Understanding of banking or fintech economics, including interchange, net interest income, funding, and capital;
• Extreme attention to detail and healthy perfectionism;
• Structured thinking and an ownership mentality;
• Ability to work independently with the CFO, CEO, and board-level stakeholders;
• Strong written and verbal English;
• Nice to have: SQL and familiarity with BI tools (Metabase, Looker, Tableau), Python, hands-on use of AI tools (LLMs, copilots) in modelling, analysis and reporting workflows, treasury, capital management or regulatory reporting background, experience in a firm pursuing or holding a banking licence, Big Four, investment banking, or consulting foundation followed by an in-house fintech role.
