NH Amsterdam Leidseplein is situated on the south side of the city centre, right in front of Leidseplein, which hosts tram stops from multiple directions. The Museum District and famous shopping streets like Leidsestraat and PC Hooftstraat are just a stone's throw away from the hotel. The city theatre, Vondelpark, and some of the nicest cafes and restaurants in Amsterdam can also be found just around the corner.

After a busy shift with occupied meeting rooms, group lunches, and lots of check-ins, it is time for us to unwind and enjoy a well-deserved drink together at the lively Leidseplein. Our young reception team and the familiar faces of the Food and Beverage team make our hotel the greatest place to work.

A night in the life of a Night Receptionist

22:45: You arrive, in uniform, with a cup of coffee in the back office; your colleague from the evening shift does the handover, and you note the action points.

23:00: You start with your checklist and are ready to provide a service with a heartfelt smile for the last guest to arrive.

24:00: You do the first security round through the hotel.

00:30: Between phone calls, you handle incoming emails and work your way through the first part of the checklist.

02:30: All Food & Beverage outlets are closed now, and you can start the preparations for the closing of the day.

03:30: After the End of Day closing, you take a moment to have a meal followed by another security round.

05:00: A few guests are entering the lobby after a night out. You request them kindly but firmly not to wake other guests while going to their room.

06:00: You prepare the handover for the morning shift, start counting the cash register, and make sure all tasks are done.

06:45: The morning shift has arrived, and you attend the handover.

07:00: Time to go home!
