Your Role
As a Housekeeping Supervisor, you lead the daily operations to ensure our guests enjoy an exceptionally good stay. You will work in two main shifts:
- Opening Shift: 08:00 – 16:00
- Closing Shift: 10:00 – 18:00
We operate 7 days a week, with shifts on both weekdays and weekends.
Your team:
You will be part of a dedicated, fully internal housekeeping team. The team consists of a Housekeeping Manager, Supervisors, Room Attendants (RA), General Service (AD) staff, and Housemen. Together, we are responsible for the pristine appearance of our iconic building.
- Prepare room lists, divide the workload for Room Attendants, and personally oversee the preparation of VIP rooms.
- Assign tasks and ensure a smooth workflow. Work closely with the Front Office regarding room statuses, VIP arrivals, early check‑ins, and special requests.
- Inspect guest rooms, corridors, and public areas to maintain our high standards.
- Coordinate the daily operations of RAs, AD staff, and Housemen, supporting them with daily tasks.
- Monitor stock levels of cleaning products and supplies. Perform minor spot repairs when possible; otherwise, coordinate with the Technical Department and track resolution.
- Complete the final inspection round of public areas, collect team lists, and send out the daily handover.
- Assist with quality programs, performance reviews, and administrative tasks to improve overall room quality and team performance.
- Affinity with the hospitality industry.
- Flexible, guest‑oriented, and detail‑focused.
- Driven and hands‑on.
- Willing to roll up your sleeves and get things done.
- Flexible availability; weekends are not a problem.
- Responsible and strong eye for detail, ensuring guests never have to complain about a dirty hotel room.
- In good physical condition.
- At least 1 year of relevant work experience.
- MBO level 3 working and thinking ability.
- Live in or near Amsterdam and can reach us by bike or public transport.
- Speak Dutch, English, or Spanish.
- A dynamic working environment within an independent and culturally oriented hotel in Amsterdam.
- A pleasant working atmosphere with fun and social colleagues building a close‑knit team together.
- Travel allowance for commuting.
- A pension scheme through the Hospitality & Catering Pension Fund.
- Attractive employment conditions: good salary, staff outings, employee discounts, and the opportunity for an overnight stay for two people after completing your probation period.
