Assistant Hotel Manager (f/m/d) – MEININGER Hotel Amsterdam City West. Full‑time, on‑site.
Responsibilities- Motivate staff, ensure a pleasant and safe work climate, and promote good cooperation within the team and with other colleagues.
- Cooperate with HR to hire staff and manage correct onboarding and off‑boarding processes.
- Lead regular individual and team meetings, develop skills and knowledge through training and workplace exchanges.
- Ensure all work equipment and information required for guest service are available and well‑maintained; continuously optimize workflow and definitions.
- Use available tools to gather guest feedback, analyze and categorize it, derive actions, and implement them in coordination with the Hotel Manager.
- Attend unresolved guest complaints, ensuring guest satisfaction with the offered solution.
- Optimize room distribution through conscientious occupancy optimisation and coordinate group room allocation with the Groups department.
- Perform regular audits aligned with company standards, document them, and initiate corrective measures in coordination with the Operations Manager.
- Maintain inventory management system, oversee stock‑takes according to guidelines, and support preparation of monthly closings.
- Minimum 3 years of relevant experience leading a front office team or similar.
- Enjoy leading a diverse, motivated team and have an inspiring personality.
- Experienced in a fast‑paced work environment.
- Solution‑oriented with strong commitment and entrepreneurial thinking.
- Leadership skills including coaching, mentoring, feedback, and training.
- Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office suite and front office systems (e.g., Sihot, Fidelio).
- Very good command of written and spoken Dutch and English.
