We are an innovative start-up based in Amsterdam, specializing in developing advanced unmanned systems software for Defense. Our diverse team of engineers, project managers, and defense experts is growing rapidly, and we expect to reach 70+ employees within the coming year.

We are looking for an experienced Office Manager — someone who has run an office independently before, understands what ownership means in practice, and doesn't need to be told what to do next. You identify what needs attention and take it on without waiting for direction.

Equally important:
You are a genuine people person. You will be the face of Intelic and the person employees, clients, and partners meet first. You care about atmosphere as much as logistics, help create moments that bring the team together, and take an active role in shaping our culture as we scale. In a fast-paced environment, you're someone who helps keep that culture intact.

One of the key projects: We recently moved to our brand new office. You will be the architect of how our office operates: setting up an organized structure, creating crystal‑clear ways of working, writing SOPs people actually want to read, and building our Office Handbook from scratch.

What you will own

Office & Operations

  • Own our office and day-to-day operations end-to-end, independently and proactively — you anticipate problems before they land on your desk
  • Be the first point of contact for employees, visitors, partners and clients, setting the tone the moment they walk in
  • Manage facilities, security, vendors, and suppliers so everything runs smoothly behind the scenes
  • Keep the office stocked, energized, and set up for success, from catered lunch to tools and supplies
  • Support and oversee the team's travel arrangements with the support of Perk
  • Design and document how our new office runs, building the processes rather than just following them

Internal Events & Culture

  • Take the lead on internal events, team celebrations, offsites, birthdays, and work anniversaries people genuinely look forward to
  • Bring energy, connection, and fun into our fast‑paced scale‑up — this is a core part of the role, not an afterthought
  • Act as the guardian of our culture: someone who notices when the team's sense of connection is at risk as we grow, and does something about it
  • Build a culture where people feel genuinely welcomed, motivated, and proud of where they work

HR Support

  • Support the onboarding experience by making sure every new joiner's desk and workspace are ready, giving them a proper office tour, and helping them feel welcomed from day one
  • Partner closely with HR to continuously improve life at Intelic
  • Spot opportunities to improve how we work and act on them without being asked — initiative is expected, not optional
We are looking for
  • A senior, independent operator — you've run an office before, you take ownership without prompting, you follow through without reminders, and you hand things over with total confidence
  • A proactive self-starter who picks up projects on their own initiative and drives them to completion
  • A natural connector and people person, energized by building relationships and creating moments that bring people together
  • Someone who genuinely cares about atmosphere and details, and who will represent Intelic's culture with pride, internally and externally
  • Someone thriving on variety, switching gears easily across operations, events, and HR support
  • Someone energized by the pace and ambition of a fast-growing scale-up
  • Fluent in English — Dutch is a strong plus
