Senior HR Business Partner, Retail & Ecommerce EMEA

Job Mission

The Senior HR Business Partner is responsible for high‑level partnership with senior leaders in New Balance’s European Retail and Ecommerce business. The role will lead the strategic people agenda aligned to overall business objectives and commercial goals, acting as a cultural ambassador to collaborate with leaders and their teams to shape, execute, and drive the people strategy while maintaining an agile, tactical approach as the business grows.

• Serve as a trusted partner, thought leader, change agent, coach, and expert consultant to the business, developing and executing a people strategy in line with the overall regional strategy.
• Partner with senior business leaders to provide leadership, advice, and vision supporting key business growth strategies.
• Manage ongoing strategic work with leaders on HR areas such as talent acquisition, mobility, change management, compensation, L&D, organisational effectiveness/design, succession planning, and workforce planning.
• Provide talent‑related coaching to leaders to guide them through business objectives, issues, and requirements.
• Collaborate with leaders to assess organisational change impacts, align solutions, and coordinate with HR stakeholders to facilitate implementation.
• Maintain a tactical approach when driving ideas, lead projects across 13 countries, and work with local country HR and Retail leadership teams to address local nuances and challenges.
• Support the annual Performance Management and Talent Management processes, ensuring learning and development needs are identified and actioned in line with business needs.
• Lead and champion New Balance’s culture and core values, integrating them into all people practices across corporate offices and retail stores.
• Contribute, collaborate, and support HR COE’s and HR teams, building a competitive organisation and empowering leadership with people analytics to drive decision making.
• Champion DE&I, wellbeing and community initiatives, and build effective relationships with wider HR teams, local/regional/global stakeholders, and external partners.

• Proven experience in a strategic senior‑level HR partnership role within a fast‑paced, multi‑country European or global business.
• Direct experience partnering with retail leadership teams.
• Knowledge of multiple European employment laws.
• Bachelor’s degree in business, HR, or a related field.
• Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office, data and analytics, organisational design and change management.
• Comfortable navigating stakeholders in a fast‑paced environment.
• Analytical, data‑driven with strong attention to detail.
• Workday experience is beneficial.
• Accountable decision maker with a European and Global mindset.
• Outstanding communication skills, able to collaborate and influence at all levels.
• Proactive self‑starter with a results‑ and deadline‑driven approach.

• Travel within Europe up to 15% of the role.
