Picture yourself brightening someone's day. When you join our Hotels team, that's exactly what you'll do every time you come to work. As a Human Resources Manager, you’re not just overseeing daily operations of the hotel’s HR function – you’re spreading the light and warmth of hospitality by delivering memorable experiences that make the stay for every guest.
In this strategic and operational leadership role, you will partner closely with the General Manager, the 4D’s, and department heads to ensure an exceptional Team Member experience for over 300 Team Members. You will play a key role in fostering a positive workplace culture, attracting and developing talent, driving engagement, supporting business performance, and ensuring Hilton's values are reflected throughout the hotel.
Leading a team of HR professionals, you will be responsible for creating an environment where Team Members feel valued, supported, and inspired to grow.
Here's what you'll do during a typical day:
- Oversee daily HR operations, including recruitment, training, compensation, benefits, labor relations, compliance, safety, and performance management, ensuring compliance with corporate HR policies and local legislation.
- Foster Team Member engagement through recognition programs, special events, and engagement initiatives that contribute to a positive workplace culture.
- Manage HR systems, reporting, employment transitions, and compliance-related administration.
- Lead, coach, mentor, and develop HR Team Members through performance management and professional development opportunities.
Furthermore, as Human Resources Manager , you will:
- Develop, lead, and execute the hotel's People Strategy, aligning HR initiatives with overall business objectives.
- Act as a strategic advisor to the General Manager and the 4D’s on all people-related matters.
- Lead, mentor, and develop the Human Resources team, ensuring high performance and continuous professional growth.
- Drive Team Member engagement, recognition, wellbeing, and retention initiatives across the hotel.
- Oversee all recruitment and talent acquisition activities, ensuring a warm, personalized, and effective candidate journey.
- Manage succession planning, talent development, and leadership development programs.
- Identify organizational and training needs and implement effective learning and development strategies.
- Lead workforce planning and support department leaders in building successful teams.
- Oversee employee relations cases, investigations, and conflict resolution in a professional, confidential, and supportive manner.
- Ensure compliance with Dutch labor legislation, collective labor agreements, Hilton policies, and employment regulations.
- Manage absenteeism strategies, focusing on prevention, support, coaching, and sustainable employability.
- Analyze HR metrics and trends, providing meaningful insights and action plans to improve business performance.
- Oversee compensation processes, pay reviews, and HR administration in line with company guidelines.
- Drive internal communication initiatives and strengthen the hotel's employer brand.
