What will you be doing as a Legal Counsel/Debt Collection Specialist?

In this challenging and multifaceted position of debt collection lawyer, you will be responsible for handling complex files from start to finish. You will manage correspondence and provide legal advice. Maintaining frequent contact with clients, counter parties, and other related parties is essential. Strong communication skills and relevant experience are required.

Additionally, you will contribute to the development of our national and international practice by utilizing your legal and communication skills and proposing innovative ideas, which you will implement.

You will receive comprehensive training from colleagues and be part of the German Desk, a collaboration between German and Dutch lawyers and legal advisers specializing in international contract law and commercial and procedural law. Together, you will oversee both extrajudicial and judicial collection processes and advise Dutch and German companies operating across borders. This role offers a unique opportunity for professional growth as a legal professional.

Our

ideal candidate recognizes themselves in the following profile:

• HBO/WO level of education, such as a completed study in German law or comparable;
• Basic legal knowledge is a significant advantage;
• Interest in the collection and credit management industry;
• Analytical, accurate, team-oriented, driven, and results-focused;
• Strong communication skills in German and English, both oral and written. Dutch is a plus;
• Entrepreneurial spirit with an interest in sustainability and corporate social responsibility;
• Comfortable working in a multicultural and international environment.
