To strengthen their legal team, we are looking for a dynamic and experienced Senior Legal Counsel.

This key role within the Allianz Partners Business Unit is based in Amsterdam and involves managing the Benelux legal team and overseeing external lawyers operating in other European countries.

Your responsibilities include (but are not limited to):

Qualifications:

• Master’s degree in law from a Dutch university and 10-15 years of PQE.
• In-house corporate experience in commercial contracting is essential.
• Experience with in insurance companies is a plus.
• Knowledge of the Financial Supervision Act (Wet op het financieel toezicht, Wft) and related legislation (e.g., BGfo, Vrijstellingsregeling Wft) is highly desirable.
• Experience in litigation (courts/Ombudsman), data processing law, corporate governance, house-keeping, and M&A is also beneficial.
