Irwin and Colton have been engaged by a major Principal Contractor to recruit a Health and Safety Manager. The global company is currently completing a broad range of major construction and infrastructure projects, with this role focused on leading the health and safety agenda for a major, high-profile, long-term infrastructure project in Amsterdam.

The successful candidate will be based in the Netherlands and hold either an MVK (Middelbare Veiligheidskunde) or HVK (Hogere Veiligheidskunde) qualification or equivalent.

Responsibilities for the Health and Safety Manager will include:

Working closely with the wider health and safety team to ensure health and safety is delivered successfully across the project.
Working closely with the client to ensure a smooth deliver of the project
Influencing, engaging, and coaching key internal and external stakeholders to implement change
Constantly assessing opportunities for improvements and sharing best practice across the organisation The successful Health and Safety Manager candidate will have:

Proven leadership experience in a similar role, ideally within construction, civil engineering, or a related industry
Experience in influencing, engaging, and coaching senior management and site-level operations
A recognised Dutch safety qualification (e.g MVK or HVK Qualification or equivalent) This position will require an individual who is passionate about health and safety and high performance.
