About the job The Product Manager drives profitability and growth of the chelates product line through pricing, portfolio optimization and asset strategy. Partners with cross‑functional teams to optimize operations, manage the product portfolio, and ensure regulatory compliance and competitiveness.
Responsibilities Strategic & Financial Leadership- Own and drive regional P&L and EBITDA performance.
- Manage product allocations during supply constraints.
- Drive optimization of own cost position while balancing with supply reliability and targeted service levels.
- Evaluate and ensure balance of key Raw materials.
- Identify and assess internal and external supply chain options (e.g. tollers, warehouses) to enhance resilience and drive results.
- Align cross‑segment product offerings with the strategic and operational needs of the receiving commercial organization.
- Act as the key interface between originating Product Lines and the receiving commercial teams for HPC.
- Support regulatory compliance of the chelates product portfolio (e.g. REACH).
- Partner with supply chain to ensure reliable supply, asset capacity utilization, and inventory optimization.
- Collaborate with sales and marketing to optimize asset loading, especially during periods of high and low utilization.
- Support asset project management and commercialization of new capacity or product capabilities.
- Stay current with market trends, competitive dynamics, and regulatory developments.
- Partner with R&D to develop product line extensions and minor product modifications.
- Ensure marketing & sales tools are up to date and available.
- A Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering or a related field. MBA or Master’s degree is a plus.
- 5+ years of relevant experience in Commercial, Marketing, ideally also Supply Chain, or Finance within a B2B or specialty chemicals environment.
- Strong financial and business acumen & P&L ownership.
- Strategic insight and business understanding, ability to comprehend market and competition landscape and derive meaningful conclusions.
- Experience working in a multi‑cultural, global organization.
- Fluency in English, both written and spoken, is required.
- Able to influence across functions and geographies.
- Results‑driven with strong problem‑solving and negotiation skills.
- An excellent project manager with great communication and interpersonal skills.

This is a permanent position on a full‑time basis, reporting to Rindert van Zinderen Bakker, the Global Product & Project Manager Chelates, and is based in Amsterdam.
