Role Purpose

The Planning Transformation Program Leader is a senior planning leader responsible for driving PH E2E Planning Transformation agenda within the Voyage program. The role combines deep demand and supply planning expertise with proven program leadership and strong change‑management capability. It translates the global planning vision into executable transformation roadmaps, mobilizes cross‑functional teams, and ensures sustainable adoption and measurable business value across businesses, regions, markets, functions and IT.

This is not a traditional project‑management role. Success requires a leader who understands planning processes in practice, can challenge and shape the future‑state operating model, and can influence senior stakeholders and drive adoption without direct reporting authority.

Key Responsibilities Planning transformation leadership
  • Shape and lead the end‑to‑end Planning Transformation roadmap across demand planning, supply planning and connected planning capabilities, ensuring alignment with PH Integrated Supply Chain strategy.

  • Translate executive direction and functional strategy into pragmatic transformation priorities, operating‑model choices, process designs and deployment plans.

  • Act as the planning subject‑matter leader for the program, bringing hands‑on understanding of planning processes, performance drivers, data dependencies and digital planning solutions.

  • Challenge existing ways of working and ensure that transformation choices improve planning quality, efficiency, decision‑making, resilience and business performance.

Program ownership and delivery
  • Lead a complex, multi‑year and multi‑disciplinary transformation program, integrating process, people, data, technology and governance work streams.

  • Develop and manage the integrated program plan, including milestones, resources, dependencies, risks, decisions, budget and benefits realization.

  • Establish clear governance, decision forums, KPIs, ROI tracking and executive reporting to maintain transparency and delivery discipline.

  • Identify and resolve cross‑program dependencies with related initiatives, including master‑data and data‑readiness programs, Order‑to‑Cash simplification and digital planning deployments.

  • Ensure timely escalation and resolution of issues while maintaining momentum and accountability across work streams.

Change leadership and capability building
  • Lead organisational change and adoption across multiple functions, businesses and regions, often without formal authority over participating teams.

  • Build a compelling transformation narrative and tailor communication for executives, functional leaders, planners, IT teams and regional stakeholders.

  • Design and steer stakeholder engagement, change‑impact assessment, capability building, training and adoption plans.

  • Create commitment to new planning processes, governance, roles and digital solutions, and address resistance constructively.

  • Mentor project leaders, planning professionals and analysts to strengthen Philips’ long‑term planning‑transformation capability.

Cross‑functional orchestration
  • Mobilise and align senior leaders and experts across Planning, Supply Chain, Commercial, Finance, Data, IT and regional organisations.

  • Direct cross‑functional task forces and external partners, clarifying accountabilities and ensuring decisions are converted into action.

  • Act as a trusted advisor to senior stakeholders, providing fact‑based recommendations, transparent progress updates and clear choices.

  • Promote standardisation and reuse while balancing global design principles with legitimate business and regional requirements.

Quality and continuous improvement
  • Embed Philips quality standards, regulatory requirements and appropriate controls into program design and delivery.

  • Use data, structured problem‑solving and continuous‑improvement methods to identify root causes, measure impact and sustain results.

  • Encourage knowledge sharing, external benchmarking and adoption of leading planning practices.

What Success Looks Like
  • A clear, credible and executable Planning Transformation roadmap endorsed by senior leadership.

  • Strong adoption of new planning processes, capabilities, governance and…
