Overview
Grandma's Pen Pal is a volunteer program that connects young and older adults to combat loneliness through regular written communication.
Responsibilities
Register and complete the initial matching process.
Coordinate regular contact with your assigned pen pal (e.g., send a card every two weeks or a longer letter each month).
Use provided conversation starters and reminders to maintain a consistent communication rhythm.
Participate in the organization's annual events or local meet‑ups if both parties agree.
Provide feedback on the matching process and share progress or concerns with the support team.
How it Works
After registering, you receive a provisional match within three working days and all necessary information to begin. We regularly share tips to facilitate smooth contact and check in with you periodically.
