Coach meeting group

The Stamtafel is a low‑threshold meeting group for residents with a slight intellectual disability. You go once a month with the group and the participation coach, an experience expert and volunteers eat in a neighborhood restaurant. In addition, various joint activities are undertaken in the neighborhood from the staff table, on the initiative of the participants. The aim is to reduce loneliness among the target group, to strengthen the social network and to encourage participation in activities in the neighborhood.

• You can work well with others, but also act independently
• You have 3 hours time per month for the table.
• It's great if you also have some time (3 hours, flexible) to coach participants individually outside the board table. For example meeting with someone, but also helping to find out something (eg where an activity is).

As a volunteer at Prisma you are part of an enthusiastic team of volunteers, trainees and professionals. You will receive training in recognising and dealing with the target group, individual guidance and intervision. Travel costs and other costs will be reimbursed in consultation.

You make an important contribution to combating loneliness among the target group. You coach visitors in making contact with others and help someone to name and realise their wishes. There are opportunities for you to develop further in the field of coaching and working with the target group.
