A Japanese manufacturer is currently recruiting a Junior Account Manager to join its European office in Amsterdam. In this role, you will support business development and account management activities across the DACH region, working closely with sales and technical teams to develop new opportunities and maintain customer relationships. The ideal candidate should have a strong commercial mindset, excellent communication skills, and an interest in developing a long-term career in international technical sales.
TYPE:
Full-time, initially 6 months’ contract (with potential for extension).
WORKING HOURS:
08:00 - 17:00 (flexible), Monday to Friday, 40 hours per week. SALARY: €35k-€45k depending on experience, plus performance bonus up to 4 months. START: ASAP.
LOCATION:
Amsterdam, Netherlands (Hybrid working after a training period). BENEFITS:

- Business Development & Market Expansion
- Identify and develop new business opportunities in the DACH region
- Conduct market research and competitor analysis
- Support sales campaigns and market expansion initiatives
- Account Management
- Maintain regular communication with existing customers
- Support quotations, pricing discussions, and negotiations
- Monitor sales pipelines and ensure timely follow-up
- Customer & Sales Support
- Act as the first point of contact for customer enquiries
- Coordinate with technical teams to provide tailored solutions
- Maintain accurate records and forecasts in Salesforce
- Support the preparation of proposals, presentations, and reports
- Team Collaboration
- Work closely with colleagues across Europe and international offices
- Participate in sales meetings and pipeline discussions
- Attend trade fairs and customer events when required
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Commerce, or related field
- 0–5 years of relevant experience preferred
- Strong commercial mindset and interest in international sales
- Proactive, organised, and eager to learn
- Comfortable working with CRM systems and sales data
- Business level of fluency in English, German is an advantage
- Valid driving licence (Class
B) - Based in or willing to relocate to the Amsterdam area
