Global Customer Account Manager

Position: Global Customer Account Manager I
Overview
The Global Customer Accounts Manager I manages AIT's company's relationships with consumers and other businesses. This role is in charge of ensuring that AIT is strategically positioned to engage new clients.

Responsibilities

Responsible for developing, leading, and managing key account(s), including KPI reporting, customer service, routing, problem resolution (including accounts receivable), vendor compliance, and customer interaction.

Develop solutions that best address customer needs, coordinate with other departments and employees as needed, and work constantly with clients to ensure their needs are being met.

Adhere to all government and regulatory compliance standards regarding AES, customs clearance, ITAR, screening of denied parties, and dangerous goods regulations.

Analyze account data and provide predictions to management, including assistance with creation of M  and Q  data to meet or exceed global sales and client expectations.

Review account budgets, pricing, quoting, and improve cost effectiveness.

Assist global sales staff and offices with customer relations, resolution of issues, and client solutions that drive additional business from assigned client(s).

Other duties and responsibilities will be assigned as business demands deem necessary.

Education Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent required.

Experience Qualifications

7+ years relevant experience in freight forwarding operations, account management or sales experience in the supply chain industry preferred; with 2-3 years in direct customer‑facing role (sales/account management) preferred.

5+ years experience with Cargo Wise, AS400, dangerous goods, and ITAR is a plus. Preferred.

Skills And Abilities

Working understanding of air and ocean, imports and exports (extensive work experience in one or more required). High proficiency.

Proficient in MS Word, Excel, and other MS Office software. High proficiency.

Ability to multi‑task with strong attention to detail. High proficiency.

Must be self‑motivated and able to work within a virtual team across multiple time zones and global geographies. High proficiency.

Able to facilitate global conference calls (possibly after hours) to include customer or operations teams across the globe. High proficiency.

Ability to problem‑solve and be solution‑oriented in a fast‑paced, high‑volume environment. High proficiency.

Excellent negotiation, communication, organizational, and planning skills. High proficiency.

Possess strong analytical abilities, exceptional communication skills, and the ability to think strategically and analytically about business and product challenges. High proficiency.

Computer skills. High proficiency.

Licenses and Certifications

ITAR, Dangerous Goods, and Cargowise certifications are desired but not required upon hire; preferred.
