The role:

As Account Executive for Mulesoft, you will engage with the United Nations to sell the Mule Soft platform. You will build positive, trusted relationships with both vital team members and C-suite decision makers, helping customers realize value from their Salesforce investments.

Develop opportunities through warm leads and whitespace prospecting within the UN and its subsidiaries worldwide.

Develop key customer partner relationships and drive customer satisfaction at assigned accounts.

Assist with the development and execution of overall long-term strategy for the account, aligned to customer business objectives.

Coordinate internal resources including product support, customer success, and sales engineering to meet customer business needs.

Assist with account planning at assigned accounts, coordinating with other sales resources (Salesforce Non Profit Core AE’s, etc.) to ensure strategic alignment.

Manage complex sales cycles and present to C-level executives the value proposition of the Mule Soft platform.

Define and complete territory/account sales plans for assigned territory and then meet and exceed sales goals through prospecting, qualifying, managing, and closing sales opportunities.

Develop and manage sales pipeline, prospect and assess sales, and move a large number of transactions simultaneously through the sales pipeline.

Preferred Qualifications:

Proven track record of success in sales, ideally with a software/IT background with an emphasis on customer acquisition and positioning of complex enterprise applications for more than 5 years in a Tech/SaaS environment.

Credibility at all levels and evidence of building strong relationships internally and with the customer.

Effective communication skills with the ability to build influential relationships and deliver results in a cross-functional environment.

Successful history of net direct new business sales, with the ability to prove consistent delivery against targets.

High motivation, resilience, and ambition to build a career at Salesforce.

Fluent in English; another language is a plus.

Degree or equivalent relevant experience required. Experience will be evaluated based on the core proficiencies for the role (e.g., extracurricular leadership roles, military experience, volunteer roles, work experience, etc.).

Evidence of relationship-building skills with an ability to grow and nurture relationships.

Exhibits characteristics of self-starting, risk-taking, and a drive to succeed.

Industry experience or experience working in a specialist area of technology in the Non-Profit Sector or the United Nations is a plus.
