GAC MOTOR Europe is a newly established business in Amsterdam, part of Guangzhou Automobile Group, focused on sales, marketing and aftersales for passenger cars. The company is expanding its energy & charging solutions team.
About the Role
Business Development Manager – EV Charging Infrastructure, based in Amsterdam. A strategic, commercially driven position focused on building partnerships, driving market expansion, and developing tailored AC/DC charging solutions for OEMs, fleets, leasing companies and strategic partners.
Key Responsibilities
Develop strategic partnerships in the charging ecosystem.
Build and manage partnerships with automotive brands, leasing companies, fleet operators, charging network operators and mobility service providers.
Identify new business opportunities and establish long‑term commercial relationships to expand GAC’s EV charging footprint across Europe.
Represent GAC at industry events, customer meetings and business forums.
Develop and execute market entry strategies for AC/DC charging solutions in new European markets.
Analyze market trends, regulatory frameworks and customer requirements to identify growth opportunities.
Support go‑to‑market planning, channel development and partner onboarding.
Lead commercial negotiations with stakeholders in the charging ecosystem: pricing models, partnership structures and long‑term agreements.
Manage contract discussions with legal, finance and executive stakeholders.
Develop commercially viable business cases to support strategic investment decisions.
Collaborate with R&D and product teams to customize charging solutions based on customer and OEM requirements.
Coordinate technical integration between commercial and engineering teams; support projects from pre‑sales through implementation.
Achieve sales targets for EV charging hardware, software services and related mobility solutions.
Develop and manage sales pipelines, forecasts and account plans.
Monitor KPIs and business performance to ensure sustainable revenue growth.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Energy Management, Automotive or related field; equivalent industry experience accepted.
Proven experience in business development, strategic partnerships or sales in EV charging, automotive, energy or mobility sectors.
Strong understanding of AC/DC charging technologies and charging infrastructure business models.
Experience in commercial negotiations and contract management.
Ability to work cross‑functionally with technical and commercial stakeholders.
Strong analytical, communication and presentation skills.
Fluent in English; additional European languages and/or Chinese considered a plus.
Willingness to travel across Europe.
