This role can be based in the Netherlands or Belgium.
The Sales Director Benelux is a pivotal member of the local Leadership Team and has full responsibility for driving commercial performance of the BeOne portfolio across Belgium, the Netherlands, and Luxembourg. Operating in a highly competitive specialty care and hospital environment with complex access dynamics (particularly in the Netherlands), this role is responsible for the sales performance, ensuring the KAM‑team achieves the national and cluster business goals.
Responsibilities   Sales strategy and promotional execution – develop and implement the Benelux sales strategy in line with global and regional marketing strategy, adapted to local market dynamics and access constraints; translate brand strategies into actionable promotional plans and measurable field force priorities; ensure consistent, high‑quality, compliant execution of promotional activities; build communication initiatives and partnerships with external stakeholders (therapeutic area experts, insurance companies, buying groups, and hospital management).
Performance management and SFE – set high sales force excellence standards; maximize quantity and quality of stakeholder interactions; build a performance culture focused on accountability and continuous improvement; define, monitor and manage leading and lagging SFE KPIs (e.g., call quality, coverage, frequency, targeting, share, growth, adoption); conduct monthly business reviews and structured coaching; implement best‑in‑class SFE tools and processes (targeting, segmentation, call planning, CRM excellence, omnichannel orchestration).
Leadership, coaching and talent development – lead, inspire and develop a high‑performing KAM team; define SMART G & O goals for each KAM and coach them to achieve them; support KAMs in developing Individual Development Plans; create a culture of collaboration, initiative, accountability and insight‑driven decision making; plan and deliver training covering scientific knowledge and omnichannel KAM skills; organize regular sales cycle meetings and prioritize in‑field coaching.
Sector and account planning excellence – lead development and execution of high‑quality sector and key account plans; understand patient flows, referral networks, account potential, HCP decision makers, institutional priorities, budget dynamics, access and reimbursement drivers; allocate KAM resources and promotional budget based on ROI logic; drive disciplined follow‑up on account objectives and outcomes.
Market Access, buying groups and tenders – partner with Market Access to align sales and access strategies in restricted hospital and tender environments; lead commercial input into national access dossiers, tenders and buying group negotiations; coordinate field teams with market access for optimal tender execution and contract negotiation; develop stakeholder strategies for hospital groups and key economic decision makers; take personal lead in regional tenders and negotiations.
Forecasting and business planning – own and lead the sales forecasting process with accurate, transparent and timely updates; integrate field insights, access assumptions, tender timelines and competitive intelligence into robust demand planning; contribute to strategic and operational planning cycles, provide performance outlooks, risks and mitigation plans to leadership.
Cross‑functional leadership and governance – act as core member of the Benelux LT, contribute to overall business strategy and culture; drive collaboration with Marketing, Medical, Market Access and Finance; ensure all activities comply with internal BeOne policies, Code of Conduct, local regulations and industry codes; foster a ‘One Team’ winning mindset.
