The Head of Netherlands , Private Markets position is a senior leadership role responsible for developing and executing the sales strategy for private markets products across dutch speaking markets in Europe
The role operates with significant executive autonomy to define, structure, and execute sales strategies that drive sustainable, scalable, and repeatable revenue growth.
The role is responsible for targeting a significant global revenue growth opportunity for the business and is accountable for translating client relationships into measurable commercial outcomes, including pipeline creation, conversion, and long‑term client value creation.
The role will require the development and deepening of client relationships across the private markets industry and holds ultimate responsibility for closing new business opportunities across FX and IR products, and our alternative banking solutions.
A proactive, hunter‑style mindset is essential, with the ability to manage a broad, high‑pressure workload in a dynamic environment.
The role will be responsible for growing and leading a sales team and is equally as accountable for leading their development, driving standards, and nurturing the team to ensure continuous improvement and long‑term success.
Key Responsibilities
Strategy Formulation & Execution:
Develop and implement effective sales plans for Spanish speaking markets in Europe and go‑to‑market strategies for private market products, aligning with overall business objectives.
Business Development:
Identify and close new business opportunities and expand the client base in the region. Initially acting as the primary Dealer on account for these clients.
Client Relationship Management:
Build and maintain strong, senior‑level (C‑suite) relationships with key clients and prospects, acting as a primary point of contact for high‑value accounts.
Team Leadership:
Lead, mentor, and manage a team of high performing sales professionals, fostering a culture of accountability and humility.
Collaborate:
Work closely with cross‑functional teams to ensure seamless delivery of global business development initiatives and exceptional client experience.
Forecasting & Reporting:
Prepare and present accurate sales forecasts, budgets, and performance reports to executive leadership.
Compliance & Governance:
Ensure all sales processes and activities comply with local industry standards, regulations, and company policies across various jurisdictions.
Market Analysis:
Analyse sales data, market trends, and competitor activities to identify new opportunities and adapt sales positioning and strategy. Identify emerging trends and translate them into actionable opportunities that keep us ahead of the curve.
Skills and Experience
Required Experience:
A minimum of 10–15 years of experience in institutional sales or business development within the financial services industry, with a proven track record of driving revenue growth in private markets or alternative investments.
Market Knowledge:
Deep understanding of the financial landscape in applicable regions, including specific market dynamics and regulatory environments.
Leadership:
Exceptional leadership skills, with experience in managing high‑performing teams and working collaboratively with cross‑functional teams (e.g., marketing, legal, product teams).
Communication:
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present complex ideas persuasively to senior stakeholders.
