The sales director leads commercial expansion for new technology products, driving revenue growth across multiple regions and building long‑term strategic partnerships. The role combines high‑tech product expertise, market development, and cross‑cultural negotiation, ensuring successful adoption of innovative solutions in international markets.
Key Responsibilities
Go‑to‑market strategy: develop and execute international sales strategies to penetrate new markets and achieve annual revenue targets.
Cross‑border sales cycle management: manage the full sales lifecycle, from prospecting to complex contract negotiation and closing with customers
Technical collaboration: work closely with R&D teams reporting customer needs and support product demonstrations
Training, and onboarding: design and deliver structured training programs for regional and subsidiary sales teams, ensuring deep understanding of product features, value propositions, and competitive positioning. Coordinate onboarding for new sales hires across global markets, providing tools, playbooks, and best practices to accelerate ramp‑up time and guarantee consistent commercial execution worldwide. Collaborate with marketing and product teams to update training materials and ensure alignment with evolving technology solutions.
Forecasting & reporting: deliver accurate revenue forecasts, pipeline analysis, and KPI reporting to senior leadership.
International presence: represent the company at global trade shows, conferences, and industry events to generate high‑value leads and strengthen brand visibility.
Cross‑functional coordination: partner with marketing, logistics, legal, and operations to ensure seamless international product launches with subsidiary sales teams.
Required
Skills & Qualifications
Educational background: bachelor’s degree in engineering, Business, or related fields; MBA preferred.
High‑tech industry experience: proven track record in commercial roles within innovation‑driven, high‑tech or deep‑tech sectors.
International sales expertise: demonstrated ability to manage international territories, negotiate complex deals, and drive revenue growth.
Technical acumen: ability to understand advanced technology products and translate technical features into customer value.
Leadership & team management: experience guiding cross‑regional teams and influencing stakeholders across cultures.
Communication & negotiation skills: strong presentation, negotiation, and relationship‑building capabilities with C‑suite clients.
Willingness to travel: availability for international travel (25% or more depending on markets).
