Key Account Manager

Right now, we’re looking for a new colleague to join our  Key Account Management Team  in the position of  Key Account Manager .

Main Responsibilities:

Achieve annual sales targets

Manage quotes and contracts

Improving the profitability of the services offered

Increase volume, sales, and profit

Customer Growth

Further development of existing customer business

Actively up-sell new services/business with existing customers

Drive customer projects

Chair/management of Q 's and A 's

Solid account plan in pace including 12-18 months pipeline

Strategic account planning

Creation and implementation of the development strategy for the relevant customer portfolio

Stakeholder relationship development, from transactional to strategic partnerships across all customer levels

Develop and implement plan to achieve customer renewals & avoid leakage

Identification and implementation of savings potentials for the customer(s)

Joint ownership of accounts receivable KPI

Voice of the customer with internal APLL stakeholders & teams

What we are looking for:

Someone who takes ownership of their work, drives results, and holds themselves accountable for delivering high-quality outcomes. A hands-on mentality, flexible, able to work independently but also as part of a team.

High customer orientation paired with strong business acumen

At least 5 years of experience in logistics, preferably in international trade logistics in a similar role

Bachelor / Master of Business Administration, preferably Logistics

Fluency in  Dutch and English is a must , knowledge of German would be an asset

Excellent presentation and communication skills, both written and verbal

Strong time management, good at priority setting, determined, good organizational and planning skills

Intermediate or higher knowledge of Excel and competent PowerPoint skills

Knowledge of CRM tools like Dynamics

Key areas of results:

Achieve / exceed the set volume and profitability budgets

Customer retention & expansion of the APL Logistics services used by the customer

Improving profitability for our global operations with the customer

Complete and correctly recorded offers and contracts

Complete and well maintained pipeline

Strategic account plan in place and implementation of the included development projects

The typical salary range for this position is: €65.000 - €95.000 (paid on 13-month salaries + holiday allowance)

The actual salary offer will take into account multiple factors including skills and experience. Please note that the salary details listed in role postings reflect the base salary only, not total compensation, which includes bonus and benefits.

This role is also open in alternative locations (Hamburg, Germany). The local salary ranges will be shared accordingly before the interview process.
