As a member of the Freight Forwardingteam at the Company, you will play a key role in developing new business opportunities within the salmon and seafood sector, building strong customer relationships, and delivering tailored logistics solutions. The  Business Development Manager – Salmon  is responsible for identifying, developing, and winning new business opportunities within the salmon and seafood sector. The role combines strong commercial drive with a deep understanding of freight forwarding and logistics, with a particular focus on the transportation of salmon and other perishable products.

You will build relationships with key decision-makers, identify customer needs, develop tailored logistics solutions, and work closely with internal teams to convert opportunities into long-term partnerships and profitable business.

How you create impact

Identify and develop new business opportunities within the salmon, seafood, and perishable goods sector.

Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers, prospects, shippers, and decision-makers.

Develop and execute a business development strategy focused on growing the Client's presence within the salmon market.

Proactively identify customer requirements and present tailored air freight and logistics solutions.

Generate, qualify, and manage a pipeline of new business opportunities from initial contact through to successful conversion.

Conduct customer visits, sales meetings, and commercial presentations to understand business needs and position the Client's solutions effectively.

Collaborate with internal Air Logistics, Customer Care, Operations, and Product teams to ensure successful implementation and delivery of new business.

Prepare and negotiate commercial proposals and quotations, ensuring opportunities are converted into profitable long‑term business.

Monitor market developments, competitor activity, customer trends, and opportunities within the salmon and seafood logistics sector.

Develop existing customer relationships and identify opportunities for account growth and cross‑selling.

Maintain accurate customer and opportunity information within the relevant CRM and company systems.

Take ownership of commercial targets, customer acquisition, revenue growth, and profitability.

What we would like you to bring

Proven experience in Business Development, Sales, or Account Management within  Freight Forwarding, Air Logistics, or a related logistics environment .

Strong understanding of the  salmon, seafood, perishables, or fresh produce sector  and its supply chain requirements.

A strong commercial mindset with a proven ability to identify and convert new business opportunities.

Existing relationships or a relevant network within the salmon/seafood industry would be highly advantageous.

Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship‑building skills.

Ability to engage confidently with senior decision‑makers and develop long‑term customer partnerships.

Strong understanding of air freight and international logistics solutions.

Self‑motivated, proactive, and target‑driven approach.

Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple opportunities and priorities.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office and CRM systems.
