Sales Trader

Sales Trader and Consultant specializing in environmental commodities (DACH)
A fast-growing environmental commodities business is looking to appoint a Sales Trader & Consultant to develop its presence across the DACH market.

The role combines trading, business development and client relationship management, with a strong focus on building a portfolio of German-speaking clients from the ground up. You will work across environmental commodities including carbon, renewable energy certificates and low-carbon gas, identifying market opportunities while developing long-term commercial relationships.

Key Responsibilities

Build and grow a portfolio of clients across Germany, Austria and Switzerland.

Proactively identify and approach new clients, including through regular cold calling and outbound business development.

Trade and negotiate environmental commodities, identifying market opportunities and managing commercial risk.

Develop relationships with energy companies, project developers, financial institutions and other market participants.

Monitor relevant market, regulatory and pricing developments across the DACH region.

Work closely with internal trading, analytical and commercial teams to execute transactions and grow the business.

Ideal Profile

Commercially driven professional with experience in energy, commodities, environmental markets or financial trading.

Strong business development and negotiation skills, with a genuine appetite for cold calling and winning new clients.

Existing network or strong understanding of the German-speaking energy, industrial or financial markets is highly advantageous.

Native-level German and fluent English essential.

Entrepreneurial, ambitious and comfortable operating in a fast-paced start-up environment.
