The Team:

Sustainable1's Commercial team is at the forefront of expanding and deepening client relationships in the climate and sustainability space. We operate with a strategic vision to drive revenue growth while helping clients enhance their climate and sustainability initatives.

The Impact:

We are looking for an experienced New Business Sales Executive to help grow the business in Continental Europe. This role would be based preferably out of S&P Global’s Amsterdam office. You would be interacting with colleagues from other divisions or teams (Market Intelligence, Energy, Indexes, Ratings, Chief Client Office), many of whom are based in Amsterdam.

Responsibilities and Impact:
  • In charge of new business sales in notably the Netherlands, Belgium and Luxembourg.

  • Create a strong pipeline across all segments (banks, insurance companies, investment managers, private equity) and across all services (Data, Capital IQ Pro ESG, Climanomics, Analytics, Benchmarking and Horizons AI Agents).

  • Design and execute new Go-to-market strategies in the region.

  • Leverage cross-sell opportunities and regional go-to-market initiatives.

What We're Looking For:

Basic

Required Qualifications:
  • An S&P Global employee at this level would typically have 3+ years of relevant experience in ESG and sustainability solutions, customer support, sales or relationship management in B2B environments.

  • Proven track record of either achieving revenue targets or managing complex client relationships and/or projects.

  • Strong understanding of sustainable investing and ability to translate technical concepts into clear business value propositions.

  • Experience with the following types of services: EU Regulatory Reporting, ESG scores, Portfolio climate reporting, Financed emissions and emissions factor library, TNFD Reporting, EBA Climate stress testing, Climate value-at-risk models and data, Labelled bond data etc.

  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, including experience leading client meetings, demos, and strategic planning sessions.

  • Strong working knowledge of CRM systems and prospecting databases (e.g., Salesforce, Hub Spot, Zoom Info, Salesloft, or similar), including maintaining detailed client records and pipeline management; familiarity with AI agents preferred.

  • Willingness to travel within Europe for client visits and represent the company at industry events.

Additional

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Knowledge of client workflows in any of the following industries: banks, insurance companies, investment managers, private equity.

  • Fluency in English. Dutch preferred. French or German are nice to have.
