Position Summary
We are looking for a Sr. Manager Analytical & Testing.
Delivering integrated analytical expertise strategy, on site / business level and integrated departmental plans and operational realization for all CFT R&D projects, products and catalyst markets. Providing new analytical & testing methods for CFT and possibly support for other divisions.
Development of strategy for optimizing capacity (short term) and capabilities (long term) for bench scale testing. Providing timely and reliable performance testing information from benchscale/pilot units. Constantly improving the analytical methods and the effectiveness of the department. Managing the R&T Operations (Services) team that takes care of administrative support, coordination with the maintenance department and HSE support for the R&T group in Amsterdam.
WhatYou Will Do
- Deliver integrated analytical expertise strategy, on site / business level and integrated departmental plans and operational realization for all CFT R&D projects, products and catalyst markets.
- Provide new analytical & testing methods for CFT and possibly support for other divisions.
- Develop strategy for optimizing capacity (short term) and capabilities (long term) for bench scale testing.
- Provide timely and reliable performance testing information from benchscale/pilot units.
- Constantly improve the analytical methods and the effectiveness of the department.
- Manage the R&T Operations (Services) team that takes care of administrative support, coordination with the maintenance department and HSE support for the R&T group in Amsterdam.
- Academic level of working and thinking at PhD level, with a minimum of 10-15 years of experience in an analytical and/or research environment.
- Overview of Analytical, Testing and Data Science techniques with a focus on application in the analysis and development of heterogeneous catalysts and oil analysis.
- Overview of products, production processes, markets, and R&T projects with a focus on CFT.
- Strategic insight: know how to use information sources and value information on the basis of which to draw up lines.
- Innovative capacity: bring together information from the entire CFT R&D, translating it into strategic opportunities and challenges, and drawing up plans to transform these into an operational plan.
- Advisory skills: convey a long-term vision about complex matters from a non-hierarchical position at strategic level.
- Communication skills and contact properties to maintain internal and external networks and contacts in a complex environment.
- Managerial skills in managing employees also from a non-hierarchical position.
- Project management skills to formulate objectives and guide implementation on time, utilizing personnel and financial resources and ensuring effectiveness of activities.
- Ability to retain personal independence based on professional expertise to operate effectively in situations with conflicts of interest.
- Presentation techniques to transfer approach and findings to clients and colleagues at all levels within and outside the organization.
