Damen Ship repair Amsterdam works on diverse ship types up to 250m, operating on a dynamic shipyard with a multi‑national team.

As an Electrical Installation Technician you are responsible for diagnosing and repairing a range of installations on the shipyard. This includes cranes, pump systems, compressors, distribution cabinets, walstroom connections, welding machines, and hand tools.

• Maintain equipment and control for wear, damage and safety.
• Follow safety, arbo and environmental procedures.
• Report on performed work.
• Repair faults mechanically and electrically; involve third parties in consultation if complex.

• MBO work and thinking level.
• Education in mechanical engineering, mechatronics or electrical engineering.
• Minimum 2years experience as a fault technician in a technical, distribution or production environment.
• Possession of VCAVol or ability to obtain it.
• Full‑time availability and flexible willingness to work evenings or weekends.

• Salary between €3,500 and €4,500 bruto per month (full‑time), excluding holiday pay.
• 27 vacation days and 13 ADV days per year (full‑time).
• Holiday pay, travel allowance (23c/km) and pension scheme.
• Position under the Metalektro collective agreement.
