Taylor DM Brands, formerly Amsterdam Print, is looking for a Maintenance Technician to join the team at our Amsterdam, NY facility.

Your shift: 1st shift;
Monday - Friday, 7:00am - 3:30pm

Your responsibilities:

• Constructs, maintains, and tests mechanical equipment, machinery, and components.
• Identifies parts for replacement and machines that need new parts and places orders as necessary.
• Requires experience in the field or in a related area.
• Familiar with a variety of the field's concepts, practices, and procedures.
• Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.
• Performs a variety of complicated tasks.
• Reports to a supervisor.
• A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected.

You must have:

• Ability to read, interpret, and understand general written instructions from documents such as work orders, parts orders, safety regulations, operating procedures, or other job specific written documents.
• Ability to speak and communicate effectively with fellow employees.
• Valid NYS drivers license
• Ability to perform basic mathematical functions such as addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division in all units of measure using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
• Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.

Requirements within this position:

• Ability to communicate and exchange accurate information and ideas so others will understand
• Regularly required to remain in a stationary position
• Constantly operates machinery and handles products including print materials
• Frequently required to move inside the facility
• Regularly move up to 25+ pounds (lift, push, pull and/or carry)

We would also prefer:

• Experience in manufacturing
• Some experience or exposure to electrical systems or machine maintenance is helpful
• Education or training in electrical, mechanical, or related technical fields is a plus, but not required

The anticipated hourly range for this position is $20 - 25. The actual base offered depends on a variety of factors, which may include as applicable, the qualifications of the individual applicant for the position, years of relevant experience, specific and unique skills, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held, and the location in which the applicant lives and/or from which they will be performing the job.
