7-12 Junior Senior High School English Teacher
Essential
Job Duties
* Delivers English Curriculum aligned to our ELA Implementation
* Attends and participates in multidisciplinary team meetings and other meetings as
required.
* Provides an appropriate educational program for each student.
* Complies with Board policies, rules, regulations, and directives.
* Plans curriculum, lessons, and High School programs and teaching methods.
* Monitors students' progress in an inclusive learning environment.
* Maintains regular contact with parents of students.
* Evaluates student progress based on work output and observation, determines goals,
objectives, and directions.
* Prepares report cards, educational records, classroom observation records, and other
forms.
* Consults with other professionals and teaching staff regarding progress of students and
related educational matters.
Knowledge Skills Abilities
* Knowledge of safety practices and procedures.
* Ability to follow oral or written work orders and to coordinate work with principal and
others.
* Ability to read, write and speak English fluently.
* Ability to work with a diversity of individuals and/or groups and utilize specific, job related
equipment.
* Ability to problem solve.
* Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with students, the
public, and staff members.
* Ability to maintain cooperative working relationships with those contacted in the course
of work.
* Ability to manage time and responsibilities, adapt to changing work priorities,
communicate with diverse groups, maintaining confidentiality, meet deadlines and
schedules.
* Ability to set priorities, work as part of a team and work with and manage frequent
interruptions.
* Ability to maintain confidentiality of student matters.
* Ability to effectively communicate with students, parents, and staff.
* Ability to perform duties with awareness of all District requirements and Board policies.
* Ability to schedule activities, meetings, and/or events, gather, collate, and/or classify data
and use job-related equipment.
* Skill in adhering to safety practices.
* Skill in preparing and maintaining accurate records and using pertinent software
applications (as required).
Required Qualifications
1. Valid Montana Teaching Certificate with appropriate endorsement
2. Bachelor's Degree and/or Advanced Degree
Preferred Qualifications
1. Successful experience teaching and working with Junior/Senior High School Students
