• Communicate effectively with residents, their families, and other staff members.
• Implement individual support plans, assessing strengths and skills in daily living.
• Assist adults with developmental disabilities in identifying, developing, and participating in a variety of meaningful activities to increase functional independence.
• Administer assessment instruments and assist in the development of training programs for persons with developmental disabilities.
• Assist in training programs that center on basic living skills, independent living, vocational, and academic skills.

• Computer literacy skills, including the ability to navigate, record, and use performance-based software and an electronic medical records system.
• Interpersonal oral and written communication skills to work as a team member, observe and report accurately, learn resident care methods, and follow instructions.
• A high‑school diploma or equivalent and past employment experience.
• A valid Montana driver’s license or the ability to obtain one, with an acceptable driving record.
• An acceptable criminal and protective services background check.

AET habilitation technicians earn $17.00 - $18.86 per hour.
