Controller, Accounting, Financial Compliance

. This is an exciting opportunity to join a financially stable hospital that has recently modernized its finance technology platform and is entering its next phase of operational growth.

The organization is seeking a hands‑on Controller who enjoys leading people, improving processes, and partnering closely with executive leadership. Working alongside an incoming CFO, you'll play a key role in developing the accounting team, strengthening financial operations, enhancing internal controls, and driving continuous improvement across the finance function.

• Sage Intacct (implemented in 2024) – ERP & General Ledger
• Sage Fixed Assets – Fixed Asset Management
• MEDITECH Expanse – Electronic Medical Record (EMR)
• UKG – Payroll & Human Resources
• BAR – Patient Accounts Receivable Axiom – Budgeting & Forecasting

• Lead month‑end, quarter‑end and year‑end close and financial reporting
• Provide leadership, coaching and development for the accounting team
• Oversee General Ledger, Payroll Accounting, Accounts Payable and internal controls
• Continue optimization of Sage Intacct and finance systems
• Support budgeting, forecasting and capital planning
• Partner with HR, Payroll, Supply Chain and operational leadership
• Strengthen accounting processes, documentation and reporting
• Coordinate external audit activities and regulatory reporting
• Develop operational metrics and drive continuous improvement

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or related field
• 5+ years progressive accounting leadership experience
• Hands‑on operational accounting leadership
• Experience with month‑end close, GAAP, financial reporting and internal controls
• Leadership, coaching and change management experience
• Advanced Excel and ERP experience

This onsite opportunity is based in Anacortes, WA and offers a competitive salary of $96,279–$144,440, along with relocation assistance for qualified candidates.
