YourDay as a Seasonal Boat Launch Operator
You give our guests a safe and memorable experience at the Cap Sante Marina as a Marina Boat Launch Operator. Using your outstanding customer service skills, you answer questions and respond to requests promptly. You also provide information about our regulations and facilities, as well as marine weather conditions. You prioritize the safety of everyone at the Port by identifying and correcting potential hazards, performing routine equipment inspections, and carefully completing boat launches.
Your main responsibility is to operate the equipment and tools needed for daily boat launches, including overhead cranes, computers, and Port vehicles. In addition, you perform point-of-sale transactions and cash handling procedures. As a team player, you assist with docking and securing vessels as well as maintaining cleanliness throughout the marina. You get a feeling of satisfaction as you successfully fulfill all of your responsibilities and play a vital role in our operations!
WhatWe Need from You
- 18 years old or older
- 1+ years of customer service experience
- Strong computer skills
- Possess and maintain a valid driver’s license
- Ability to meet the physical demands of this position
- Ability to read and speak English
This full-time seasonal position typically works a set schedule of four 10-hour shifts per week, including weekends and holidays.
Seasonal Staff Bonus ProgramSeasonal employees who work 440+ hours in the peak season (April-October) will be eligible for a $1,000 end-of-season bonus paid on their last paycheck, a $2,500 tuition stipend paid directly to an accredited college, university, academy, or trade school, or a $3,000 tuition stipend for a maritime-related program paid directly to an accredited college, university, academy, or trade school.
