Classroom Aide – Anacortes Family Center Preschool

20–25 hours per week | Monday–Friday

Preschoolers ask big questions, tell wild stories, and turn everyday moments into adventures.

Boys & Girls Clubs of Skagit County is hiring a Classroom Aide to support our Preschool Program at the Anacortes Family Center. You'll work alongside Lead Teachers, Assistant Teachers, and the Club Director to create a welcoming environment where children feel encouraged to learn, play, and grow.

This is an active, hands-on role full of creativity and curiosity. One moment you may be helping with an art project, the next you're guiding circle time, helping classmates problem-solve, or celebrating a child writing their name for the first time. You'll support classroom routines, early learning activities, and social-emotional development while helping preschoolers build confidence.

We're looking for someone who is patient, positive, and comfortable in a busy classroom environment. The right candidate enjoys interacting with young children and understands that preschool learning often happens through play, exploration, and connection.

This position is part of a licensed program and requires meeting Washington DCYF standards, including background clearance and health requirements. Required training, such as CPR/First Aid and STARS, is supported if needed. Candidates must be at least 18 years old and have a high school diploma or equivalent.

You'll be actively engaged throughout the day, including bending, sitting on the floor, moving throughout the classroom, and assisting children as needed.

Benefits include paid sick leave, vacation accrual, paid closure days, and access to a 401(k) plan.

If you're excited about helping young learners discover the world around them while being part of a supportive team, we encourage you to apply.
