T BAILEY LLC

Project Manager

Anacortes, WA | Full-Time | Field & Office

You know construction. You've been in the field early, worked through drawings, managed subs who needed managing, and kept projects moving when things weren't lining up. You don't need a company to teach you what a schedule or submittal log is.

What you're looking for now is different.

You want to run work that matters. You want fewer layers between you and decisions. You want to work with people who know what they're doing and are good at it - in the field, in the shop, and in the office - and a company that actually uses your experience instead of burying it in process.

That's T BAILEY.

We're a heavy civil and industrial contractor based in Anacortes, Washington. We self-perform critical scopes, fabricate in-house, and take on complex work - field erected steel tanks, structural steel, and civil infrastructure. We've been doing it since 1991, and we've built a reputation on delivering work that holds up.

What the Role Actually Looks Like

This isn't a desk-only PM role, and it's not a "babysit the job" role either.

You'll be responsible for running projects end-to-end - planning, execution, and closeout - across a mix of shop fabrication and field construction.

On any given week, you'll:

* Stay ahead of schedule and cost - not just report on them

* Work directly with superintendents to keep field execution moving

* Coordinate with the fabrication shop on sequencing, priorities, and delivery

* Resolve issues quickly - often with a phone call or a site visit instead of another email chain

* Communicate directly with clients and owner reps to keep decisions moving

* Manage subcontractors and suppliers with clear expectations and follow-through

* Jump in where needed
-reviewing a change order, supporting a bid, or setting up a new project

You'll have multiple projects at different stages. Some days are in the field, some in the office, most are a mix of both. If you need a rigid, predictable routine, this isn't that job. If you like staying close to the work and actually driving outcomes, it is.

The People You'll Work With

One of the best things about T BAILEY is the people. This isn't a revolving door - a lot of folks here have been around for years, and that experience runs deep. Here's who you'll be working alongside:

Field Superintendents & Foremen These are experienced builders. They expect PMs who understand the work, communicate clearly, and help remove obstacles. Earn their trust and they'll drive your projects forward.

The Fabrication Shop Team Our shop is a major advantage. We fabricate in-house, so coordination matters. You'll work directly with shop leads and QC to align schedules, sequencing, and delivery. Quality isn't optional here.

Project Engineers & Estimators Detail-oriented and capable. When communication is clear and timely, this group makes your job significantly easier - especially on submittals, takeoffs, and project startup.

Clients & Owner Representatives Many of our clients are repeat partners - refineries, municipalities, and agencies. They expect proactive communication and follow-through. You'll be the face of the project.

Company Leadership Accessible and involved. Decisions don't get stuck in layers, and good ideas don't go unheard. If something needs to be addressed, you can address it.

What You Bring

* 5+ years of project management experience in heavy-civil, industrial, or structural steel construction - you've run jobs, not just supported them

* Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, fabrication specs, and contract documents

* Familiarity with industry codes relevant to our work: API 650, AWWA, ASME, AISC, AWS D1.1

* Solid budget and schedule management skills - you track cost-to-complete, not just where you started

* Experience managing subcontractors, suppliers, and owner relationships simultaneously

* Proficiency in Microsoft Office; project scheduling tools (P6, MS Project, or similar) a plus

* Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field - or equivalent field experience

* Comfortable on active industrial job sites - you've been there before and you know how to conduct…
