Job Description

Summary The Cashier provides outstanding guest service and handles a variety of financial transactions to support casino operations. Responsibilities include redeeming slot tickets, cashing checks, exchanging currency, processing jackpot payouts, and assisting team members with cash-handling needs. This role also supports Player’s Club services by issuing cards, entering membership data, and promoting club benefits.

• Greet and assist guests at the Cash Cage counter
• Process cash, chip, and other negotiable transactions accurately
• Perform credit/debit advances and Canadian currency exchanges
• Support jackpots, tokes, and cash disbursements for staff
• Provide information on casino services, promotions, and events
• Assist with Player’s Club enrollment and account maintenance

• High school diploma or GED; must be at least 18
• Strong communication and customer service skills
• Prior cash handling, computer, and multi-line phone experience preferred
• Ability to multitask with accuracy and maintain professionalism
• Must qualify for a Washington State Class III Gaming License

Fast-paced casino setting with high guest interaction, frequent noise, flashing lights, and possible exposure to tobacco smoke. Flexible scheduling, including nights, weekends, and holidays, is required.

Located on the pristine Washington coast, the Swinomish Casino & Lodge is owned and operated by our tribal community. We started as a small bingo operation in 1985. In 1990, we began negotiations for a gaming license, and a Compact was signed with the State of Washington in December of 1992. We chose to build the casino next to our acclaimed Bingo Hall.

The construction was completed, and the Casino opened its doors to the public on July 15, 1994.
