Trident Seafoods is the largest vertically integrated seafood harvesting and processing company in North America. Summary

The Plant Manager oversees the daily operations of a manufacturing facility, ensuring safe, efficient, and cost‑effective production. This role is responsible for leading and developing plant teams, managing workflow and resource allocation, optimizing processes, and ensuring compliance with safety, quality, and regulatory standards. The Plant Manager drives continuous improvement initiatives, monitors key performance indicators, manages budgets, and collaborates with cross‑functional partners to align production goals with broader business objectives.

Ultimately, this position ensures that the plant operates reliably, meets customer and organizational expectations, and fosters a culture of accountability and operational excellence. This position is based in Anacortes, Washington.

Essential Functions

Directs all activities related to operations and production in accordance with Global Supply Chain’s business plan and the strategic goals of the Company and business units.

Assumes full profit and loss (P&L) responsibility, analyzing financial data, and implementing strategies to optimize profitability and achieve budgetary goals.

Collaborates with cross‑functional teams including procurement, logistics, and engineering to optimize supply chain management and streamline production workflows.

Sets strategic goals and vision for the site as well as short and long‑term plant goals.

Maintains a safe work environment, delivers organizational safety goals, implements, and adheres to Trident Safety Program.

Directs and manages the overall production plan for the operation, including supervising the day‑to‑day operations that come with implementation.

Collaborates with functional area managers on the determination of materials, space, equipment, and personnel needs as well as the development and implementation of processes, procedures, assignment and execution of functional responsibilities, and determination of budget and costs constraints.

Evaluates performance against production goals and adjusts the allocation of resources (e.g., personnel, equipment, materials) as needed to optimize quality and quantity of production and cost‑efficiency of operations.

Initiates and ensures execution of Continuous Improvement activities in pursuit of Trident Global Supply Chain goals and objectives. This includes TPS implementation, SCUBA initiatives, other Operational Excellence activities as well as acting as a liaison between OpEx Team and plant improvement teams.

Manages direct reports, assigns work to staff, provides coaching and training, sets goals, is accountable for performance evaluation, plans staff development, and makes and approves people management decisions either alone or in collaboration with management and HR.
