Trident Seafoods is North America's largest vertically integrated seafood harvesting and processing company. Summary: Processes seafood by cleaning, trimming, segregating and packing product in packaging materials.

Note:

This is a shore plant position at our value-added plant in Anacortes, Washington and does NOT include housing, transportation or food assistance.

Essential Functions: (Responsibilities, Tasks, Supervisory Needs):

  • Cleans, scrapes, trims and fillets product.
  • Open and removes raw materials from packaging and places on belts.
  • Segregate product on conveyor belt or table according to grade, color, and size, and place product in containers or on designated conveyors.
  • Discards and culls inferior or defective items and foreign matter.
  • Packs product in boxes, barrels, baskets, or crates for storage or shipment.
  • Reviews workspace for cleanliness and safety.
  • Ability to perform Tier I essential functions at a higher level of productivity and quality.
  • Tasks and assignments must be performed in a safe manner at all times.

This is a nonexempt position with an hourly rate of $18 - $27.24 per hour.

Ability to interpret simple written instructions and follow established procedures.

Ability to work independently and collaborate with coworkers.

Work environment:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to wet, humid and cold conditions, and moving mechanical parts.

The noise level in the work environment is usually loud. May be required to distinguish shades of color to identify abnormalities and/or defects in food products.

Work Ability Requirements:

Employees regularly bend and lean at waist level. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or grasp packages and reach with hands and arms.

The employee is occasionally required to climb or balance.

The employee is occasionally required to stoop, kneel and crouch.

The employee lifts and carries objects up to 5 lbs regularly and up to 50 lbs occasionally.
