Job Description

Sea Bear Company, an artisan seafood smokehouse located in Anacortes, WA, is seeking motivated individuals to join our Production Staff on our night shift. We currently have openings within our production department, and team members will be cross‑trained to support multiple production roles.

Our Production Staff handles the day‑to‑day operations across our fillet, trim, cure, and mousse rooms, as well as in our inspection and retort areas, all within our production facility.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Brining/Curing
• Portioning, Pouching, Mixing
• Loading/Unloaded product
• Inspection
• Sanitation

Physical Demands

• Frequent walking
• Continuous standing up 2-hour periods at a time
• Continuous movement / lifting with both arms up to 20 lbs.
• Occasional movement / lifting with both arms up to 30 lbs.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. with assistance
• Full range of motion for frequent pushing, pulling, twisting, stooping, reaching, grasping and repetitive movements
• Stability to stand and walk on wet production floors
• Fine finger & manual dexterity using both hands in order to cut, inspect, scoop, and manually move or place product
• Exertion of force on and against product for process flow
• Facility environment with temperatures ranging from
  -18ºF to 80ºF
• Wet and dry surfaces.

Pay and Benefits:

• Starting pay at $19.25/hr., with an increase after the 60-day orientation period
• Shift: 11am - 1030pm, Mon
  -Thursday, with overtime during busy season
• Eligible for health, dental, vision, 401k after initial employment requirements are met.
