ResponsibilitiesJob Summary:
The Seafood Processor 1role processes seafood products by performing the following duties.
Essential Functions:
- Cleans, scraps,andtrimsproduct.
- Opens and removes raw materials and places on belts.
- Segregates product on conveyor belt or table according to grade, color, and size, and places product in containers or on designated conveyors.
Ability to cut and portion frozen fish blocks using a band saw; inspect product quality, maintain a clean work area, and follow all food safety and workplace safety guidelines
- Discards cull (inferior or defective) items and foreign matter.
- Packs product in boxes, barrels, baskets, or crates for storage or shipment.
- Operates machine(s) to move live orpackedseafood from place to place.
- Reviews workspace for cleanliness and safety.
- Acquires knowledge of Trident’s Environmental and Safety Policies by completing required training programs and performing designated work activities in accordance with training and procedures/work instructions.
- Notifies designated personnel of any environmental or safety incidents or risks not previously documented,in accordance with Environmental Awareness and/or safety trainings.
- Follows plant food safety policies and industry best practices.
- Performs other similar or related duties as requested or assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:
Entry level position. No minimum qualifications.
Preferred Qualifications:
- 1 year experience in food manufacturing
- HS Diploma or equivalent
Physical Demands:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel and reach with hands and arms.
The employee is frequently required to climb or balance.
The employee is occasionally required to sit; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl and talk or hear.
The employee moves objects
- regularly up to 10 pounds
- frequently up to 25 pounds
- occasionally up to 50 pounds
Specific vision abilities required by this job include distance vision, peripheral vision and depth perception.
