Schedule:
Nights / 0.9 FTE per week
Salary Range: $37.64 – $71.35 per hour
Sign‑On Bonus: $10,000
Shift Differentials- Night: +$4.75/hr
- BSN Premium: +$1.00/hr
- Certification Premium: +$1.00/hr
- Provide direct care to patients from infancy to adulthood.
- Demonstrate understanding of triage principles for life‑threatening, urgent, and non‑emergent ED patients, and take appropriate actions.
- Administer prescribed medications and treatments, determining correct dosage calculations in accordance with approved nursing standards.
- Utilize the 5‑step nursing process (assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, evaluation) to provide patient care.
- Participate in communication and problem‑solving with patients, significant others, health team members, and other departments.
- Assess knowledge level of patient or significant other and determine patient’s priority of care.
- Teach patients about their health needs, treatments, self‑care, precautions, and future assistance by the health care team.
- Document appropriate components of the nursing process according to established standards.
- Assess own learning needs, establish priorities, and develop an action plan.
- Promote and maintain a high level of confidentiality and respect the rights of others.
- Give input to the annual budget.
- Interact positively with administration, directors, managers, supervisors, peers, co‑workers, subordinates, patients, and visitors.
- Meet regular attendance standards and maintain sick leave utilization at or below the average.
- Complete 8 hours of stroke or related education per year.
- Perform other duties as delegated by the director.
- Graduation from an accredited school of nursing.
- Current Washington State RN License.
- Current AHA BLS certification.
- Current AHA ACLS certification.
- Current ENPC or PALS certification completed within 60 days of hire.
- Trauma Nurse Care Curriculum (TNCC) completion within 6 months of hire.
- Ability to identify emergent situations and perform calmly and professionally during emergencies.
- Knowledge of growth and development across the lifespan and ability to assess patient age‑specific needs.
- Ability to respond constructively and sensitively to verbal and non‑verbal behavior of patients, families, visitors, and colleagues.
- Ability to accept constructive criticism and take action to improve.
- Emotional maturity to perform position responsibilities.
