Our client, a leader in the food production industry, is seeking a Food Safety and Quality Assurance professional to join their dedicated team. As a Food Safety and Quality Assurance specialist, you will be an integral part of the Quality Assurance Department supporting production operations. The ideal candidate will demonstrate attention to detail, strong communication skills, and a proactive approach, which will align successfully within the organization.

Job Title: Food Safety and Quality Assurance

Location: ANACORTES, WA

Shift: Monday through Friday 3:30am- 2:30pm

What's the Job?

  • Conduct standardized tests on products and materials to ensure compliance with standards and regulations regarding factors such as color, weight, dimension, and texture.
  • Review purchased products or components and provide input on acceptance or rejection decisions, supporting supplier quality management.
  • Document data obtained during all quality assurance activities, ensuring adherence to HACCP standards and company policies.
  • Record test data such as weights, temperatures, moisture content, qualities, and quantities inspected or graded.
  • Perform audits of the production facility and review employee sanitation practices to maintain a safe and compliant environment.

What's Needed?

  • High school diploma or GED, or one to three months related experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Ability to perform standardized tests and document findings accurately.
  • Knowledge of HACCP standards and industry quality assurance codes.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Effective communication skills to report findings and suggest improvements.
