Seasonal Marina Fuel Dock Operator

Overview

The Port of Anacortes is looking to hire two seasonal, full-time Marina Fuel Dock Operators to join our team. This is a fun, fast-paced summer job with a close-knit team and a competitive wage.

• Operate the equipment and tools needed for fuel dock operations, including fuel dispensers, computers, and Port vehicles.
• Perform point-of-sale transactions and cash handling procedures.
• Provide guests with a safe and memorable experience at Cap Sante Marina; answer questions, respond to requests promptly, and share information about regulations, facilities, and marine weather conditions.
• Prioritize safety by identifying and correcting potential hazards, performing routine equipment inspections, and ensuring safe boat fueling.
• Assist with docking and securing vessels and maintain cleanliness throughout the marina.
• Support the team as a collaborative member to fulfill responsibilities and contribute to operations.

• 18 years old or older
• 1+ years of customer service experience
• Strong computer skills
• Possess and maintain a valid driver’s license
• Ability to meet the physical demands of this position
• Ability to read and speak English

This full-time seasonal position typically works a set schedule of four 10-hour shifts per week, including weekends and holidays.

Seasonal employees who work 440+ hours in the peak season (April-October) will be eligible for a $1,000 end-of-season bonus paid on their last paycheck, a $2,500 tuition stipend paid directly to an accredited college, university, academy, or trade school, or a $3,000 tuition stipend for a maritime-related program paid directly to an accredited college, university, academy, or trade school.
