Accounting Supervisor - Large Growing Insurance Carrier - Base Salary to 100k/year - Anaheim, CA

  • Our client, a leading national insurance carrier, has an immediate opening for an Accounting Supervisor (internally titled Account Receivable / Account Payable Supervisor) to work on a hybrid basis in their Anaheim office. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a prominent industry leader with significant potential for personal and professional growth.
  • In this role, the Accounting Supervisor will lead the day-to-day accounts payable and accounts receivable functions, ensuring transactions are processed accurately and on time while maintaining strong documentation and internal controls. The Accounting Supervisor will guide and support staff, proactively resolve discrepancies, and partner with internal teams, vendors, and customers to keep financial operations running smoothly.
Responsibilities
  • Assist with the monthly and annual financial close process, including reconciling accounts and researching any inconsistencies.
  • Generate and evaluate financial reports to maintain accuracy and ensure adherence to statutory accounting guidelines.
  • Review financial results to spot patterns, fluctuations, and areas of concern, and communicate findings to leadership with actionable recommendations.
  • Manage the preparation and submission of regulatory filings, ensuring all documentation is completed accurately and delivered on schedule.
  • Partner with internal teams and external advisors to support tax reporting requirements and maintain compliance with federal and state regulations.
Qualifications
  • BS in Accounting, Finance, or related experience.
  • 5+ years of accounting experience in the insurance industry.
  • Knowledge of NAIC reporting, SSAP, or other financial reporting standards.
  • Proficient with accounting software such as SAP.
  • CPA certification.
Compensation
  • Base salary to 100k/year
  • 100% Company paid Medical, dental, vision, and life insurance.
  • 401k with 4% company match.
  • Ability to work Monday – Friday 8:30am – 5:30pm
  • Hybrid after 90 days with 3 days in office / 2 remote days.
