Fast Growing Construction CompanyWe are a general contractor with projects ranging from $100k to $200M. We are looking for a detail-oriented Project Accountant to manage the full financial lifecycle of our construction projects.

The successful candidate will be responsible for all financial aspects of construction projects, ensuring financial integrity and contributing to overall company success. Must have a strong background in job cost, construction accounting, and proficiency in Sage, Vista Viewpoint, and other accounting software.
Responsibilities- Manage all aspects of project accounting including job cost tracking, budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting.
- Prepare and submit AIA billing and invoicing.
- Work closely with project managers to ensure accurate and timely tracking of project costs and revenues.
- Utilize Sage, Vista Viewpoint, and other accounting software to maintain accurate financial records and generate reports.
- Review and approve all project-related invoices ensuring correct coding and allocation.
- Develop and maintain project budgets and forecasts, and analyze variances.
- Conduct financial analysis and prepare financial reports to support decision-making.
- Ensure compliance with all financial regulations and standards.
- Collaborate with finance team and stakeholders to improve financial processes and systems.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in project accounting, preferably in construction.
- Proficient in job cost, construction accounting, project accounting, T&M, Time & Material.
- Experience with Sage, Vista Viewpoint, job costing, AIA billing, and AIA invoicing.
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting.
- Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to make sound decisions based on analysis.
