Position Summary
The primary function of an Accounts Payable Specialist is to process all invoices in an accurate, efficient, and timely manner. Processing includes invoice review, check processing, and employee expense report approval across multiple locations. The AP Specialist will use the company's enterprise A/P system and related processes.
Duties & Responsibilities- Process accounts payable invoices and manage the online payable queue through the enterprise A/P system.
- Review electronic invoices for correct vendor information, discount, and account coding; manually key invoices as needed.
- Match invoices and purchase orders in SAP Concur software.
- Process weekly Check/ACH payment runs for AP disbursements.
- Communicate with yard management to resolve discrepancies between vendor invoices, confirmations, and PODs.
- Establish and maintain relationships with A/P vendors; research and resolve issues for statements and non‑approved invoices.
- Provide support to the accounting team during month‑end close and perform account analysis as required.
- Prepare and reconcile AP billing reports; generate A/P check runs; perform other duties as assigned.
- High school diploma or GED required.
- 1–3 years of related work experience.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office.

- Remain in a stationary position in an office environment 80% of the time.
- Occasionally move around inside the office to access files, office machinery, etc.
- Operate basic office machinery.
- Communicate with team and management and exchange accurate information.
- Move files weighing up to 10 pounds.
Problem‑solve and prioritize tasks; manage stress during deadlines and ongoing projects; multitask; receive and analyze financial information; quickly communicate solutions if problems occur; demonstrate sound judgement and initiative.
Compensation & BenefitsBase salary range: $20.63–$26.25 per hour. Overtime may be eligible based on business needs. Depending on the role, associates may also be eligible for performance‑based bonus programs, commissions, car allowance, automobile and fuel program, and reimbursement for travel expenses in accordance with company travel policy.
