Job Details

We're seeking a detail-oriented and driven Senior Accountant (or experienced Accountant ready to take the next step) to join a growing manufacturing organization. This is an excellent opportunity for a finance professional who enjoys both financial reporting and cost accounting and wants to make a meaningful impact within a collaborative, fast-paced environment.

In this role, you'll partner closely with operations and leadership to ensure the integrity of financial reporting, improve accounting processes, and support strategic business decisions. The ideal candidate has experience in a manufacturing environment and is eager to expand their responsibilities while contributing to a high-performing finance team.

What You'll Do:

  • Lead month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close activities, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting.
  • Prepare and maintain general ledger accounts, reconciliations, and supporting schedules.
  • Manage cost accounting processes, including inventory valuation, standard costing, and cost analysis.
  • Analyze financial results, identify trends, and provide meaningful insights to leadership.
  • Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning activities.
  • Support internal and external audits by preparing schedules and responding to audit requests.
  • Develop, document, and improve accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls.
  • Collaborate with operations and cross-functional teams to improve financial accuracy and operational efficiency.
  • Identify opportunities to streamline accounting processes and implement workflow improvements.
  • Support special projects, system enhancements, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Mentor and train accounting team members as needed.

What We're Looking For:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • 3–5 years of progressive accounting experience, preferably within a manufacturing environment.
  • Experience with cost accounting and inventory accounting is highly preferred.
  • Aerospace & Defense industry experience is a plus, but not required.
  • ERP system experience required;
    Epicor experience is a strong advantage.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and proficiency with Microsoft Office.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and thrive in a dynamic, team-oriented environment.
