As production continues to grow, we are expanding our accounting team and looking for a Senior Accountant who can take ownership of the close and support the operations side of the business. This role owns significant portions of the monthly close and partners with operations on inventory and cost accuracy.
Responsibilities- Perform month-end close activities including journal entries, accruals, and account reconciliations
- Maintain inventory accounting including valuation, reserves, and cycle count reconciliation
- Analyze manufacturing variances and support standard cost updates
- Prepare monthly financial statements and variance commentary for leadership
- Reconcile balance sheet accounts and maintain supporting schedules
- Partner with operations, purchasing, and production on cost and inventory accuracy
- Support annual audit requests, tax schedules, and internal documentation
- Identify and implement improvements to accounting processes and controls
- Minimum of 4 years of progressive accounting experience
- Experience in a manufacturing or inventory-based environment
- Strong understanding of GAAP, month-end close, and account reconciliation
- Working knowledge of inventory and cost accounting
- Strong Excel skills and ERP system experience
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting
