Job Description and DutiesUnder the general direction of the Supervising Investigator (SI) of Alcoholic Beverage Control of the Southern/Central Region Office (Office), in the Law Enforcement Branch (Branch), within the Department of Cannabis Control (Department), the Office Technician (Typing) (OT(T)) in the Orange Unit (Unit) will perform a variety of the most difficult duties and is expected to consistently exercise a high degree of initiative, independence, and originality in performing assigned tasks.
The OT (T) is responsible for administrative and clerical functions in the Office.

Special Requirements- The position(s) require(s) the ability to type at a minimum speed as designated on the Class Specifications (link available in the additional documentation section). You must obtain a valid typing certificate confirming your ability to meet the minimum typing speed, prior to being hired. Additional information regarding acceptable typing tests is available at the website.
- The position(s) require(s) a Background Investigation be cleared prior to being hired.
- Criminal Offender Record Information (CORI) - Title 11, section 703 (d) of the California Code of Regulations requires criminal record checks of all personnel who have access to CORI. Pursuant to this requirement, applicants for this position will be required to submit fingerprints to the Department of Justice and be cleared before hiring. In accordance with CORI procedures, clearance shall be maintained while employed in a CORI-designated position.
Additionally, the position routinely works with sensitive and confidential issues and/or materials and is expected to maintain the privacy and confidentiality of documents and topics pertaining to individuals or to sensitive program matters at all times.
