As a Senior Safety Professional, you will be an important resource. You will drive the identification, assessment, analysis, and solving of a broad spectrum of safety issues across a diverse group of Walt Disney Parks and Resorts businesses.
The Senior
Safety Professional will report to a Safety Manager.
On any given day, as a Senior
Safety Professional
, you might:
- Work in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing multiple projects simultaneously
- Drive the implementation of safety initiatives, performing job task analysis, analyzing injury and illness trend data, and finding opportunities to improve safety performance
- Lead and/or participate in incident investigations and follow-ups
- Improve performance, review source material (rules, codes, laws, and standards) identify and share industry practices
- Lead efforts to identify, assess, and mitigate risks while supporting standardized safety practices, performance monitoring, and continuous improvement
- Ensure implementation of applicable safety standards and established regulations
- Manage relationships and work as part of a team within a matrix environment with all levels of leadership and employees
- Engage and collaborate with local partners to drive and ensure consistency
- Participate in industrial hygiene monitoring and ergonomic assessments
- Deploy analytics and trends to improve safety
Here’s what you need to be successful at this job:
- 5+ years of project management experience within occupational safety, risk management, or a related environment
- Knowledge of relevant industry standards
- Experience with strategic thinking, prioritization, and initiation of tasks
- Experience with proper writing, speaking, and presenting to all levels
- Resolve conflicts and diffuse difficult situations
- Associate Safety Professional (ASP) or Certified Safety Professional (CSP) designation
- Bachelor's Degree in Safety, Environmental Health, Occupational Health or related field
- Master’s Degree in related field

The hiring range for this position in Anaheim, CA is $105,000 - $140,000 per year. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate’s geographic region, job‑related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and location offered.
