Responsibilities

• Manage staff, pursue new work opportunities, and contribute to business development.
• Write proposals, conduct interviews, and prepare cost proposals.
• Provide inspection and quality assurance on highway and roadway construction projects for upcoming efforts.
• Determine if completed work follows plans and specifications.
• Coordinate work with contractor and public utilities agencies.
• Maintain records and reports related to the project.
• Coordinate directly with the general contractor and negotiate change orders.
• Assist in inspections to assure compliance with contract plans, specifications, and special provisions on all phases of structural construction such as bridges, foundations, walls, falsework, shoring, and drainage structures.
• Make or support grade, alignment, quantity, falsework, and shoring calculations.
• Assist in preparation of contract change orders, contract estimates, progress pay estimates, and other documents or reports required for the project. Coordinate the sampling and testing of construction materials to monitor compliance with contract specifications.
• Monitor and track contractor progress, prepare daily, weekly, and monthly reports as required.
• Coordinate with the project team, as well as the Construction Staking and Material Testing CMCs.
• Onsite at client site; role requires on‑site presence with clients and partners.
• Allow for in‑person time for collaboration, learning, and building relationships with clients, peers, leaders, and communities, with flexibility to support work/life needs.

• Licensed Professional Engineer in the State of California.
• Minimum 1 construction highway project for or on Caltrans.
• Minimum 8 years experience conducting roadway and highway construction inspection on major public works projects.
• Minimum 3 years experience with stress analysis, structural mechanics, and strength of materials.
• Minimum 3 years experience with physical characteristics and properties of various roadway and bridge construction materials including concrete and steel.
• Bonus:
  Ability to work independently; perform duties in the construction field office and make on‑site decisions; direct efforts of subordinate inspectors; expertise in toll road projects including tolling systems.

$225,000 - $250,000 a year.

Compensation at Accenture varies depending on location, role, skill set, and experience. Roles may be hired in Illinois, Minnesota, California, Colorado, District of Columbia, Maryland, Massachusetts, New York, New Jersey, Ohio or Washington as set forth below.
